Would you like to utilise your flight to prepare quietly for your business meeting, or simply rejuvenate? If so, you can redeem your BenefitPoints for an upgrade and enjoy the space and the comfort of our First, Business,Premium Economy and Economy Class.

How many points do you need for your upgrade?
    • In the following tables you can find an overview of all flight routes and upgrade options.
    • You may also use our BenefitPoints calculator for particular routes.
Upgrades can be booked on the following routes:
    • On all flights within Europe.
    • On intercontinental flights operated by Lufthansa, Air Canada, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Air Dolomiti, Swiss International Air Lines and United Airlines.
Special conditions:
    • Upgrades on codeshare flight numbers are not possible.
    • Domestic upgrades are only possible on connecting flights in combination with an upgrade on intercontinental flights. The BenefitPoints for the intercontinental upgrade will not include the domestic upgrade.
    • An upgrade can only be booked with a confirmed reservation.
    • Upgrades for waiting list seats cannot be booked.
    • To find out which booking classes upgrades can be booked from, please consult the booking class overview.
Advance booking periods:
    • In the case of upgrades, an advance booking period of one working day before departure applies, except:
    Australia/New Zealand: 7 working days before departure
    United Airlines (where applicable): 7 working days before departure
    • Please note the opening times of the PartnerPlusBenefit Service Center. Please click HERE for the working hours of your respective country at the time of request.
Payment:
    • In the case of upgrades, each route segment is paid for separately with BenefitPoints – for an upgrade on an outbound and return flight double BenefitPoints apply.
Rebookings and cancellations:
    • You can rebook BenefitUpgrades once free of charge up to one working day before departure for our BenefitPartnerAirlines, except:
    Australia/New Zealand: 3 working days before departure
    United Airlines (where applicable): 5 working days before departure
    • For every further rebooking 50 Euro or optionally 15.000 BenefitPoints will be charged.
    • Cancellation is possible for a fee of 50 Euro or 15.000 BenefitPoints up to one working day before departure.
    • In the case of rebooking or cancellation, the availability of the flight in the original booking class can no longer be guaranteed.


    United Airlines Upgrade bookings are only eligible for customers in India and Sri Lanka.
    Air Canada Upgrade bookings are only eligible for customers in India, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Myanmar, Indonesia, Pakistan, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Philippine and Brunei.
