How many points do you need for your FreeFlight?

• In the following tables you can find an overview of all flight routes.

FreeFlights can be booked with the following airlines:

• Lufthansa, Lufthansa City Airlines, Air Canada, Air China, Air Dolomiti, All Nippon Airways, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Eurowings, Singapore Airlines (no FreeFlights in Premium Economy Class), Swiss International Air Lines and United Airlines.
• Lufthansa Express connections with Lufthansa flight number.
• Codeshare flight numbers cannot be booked.

Advance booking periods:

• For free flights there is generally an advance booking period of one working day (24 hours from Monday to Friday) prior to departure, with the exception of Eurowings, where there is an advance booking period for free flights of 3 working days (72 hours from Monday to Friday) prior to departure.
• Please note the opening times of the PartnerPlusBenefit Service Center.

Payment:

• Each route segment is paid for separately with BenefitPoints – for an outbound and return flight double BenefitPoints therefore apply.
• In the case of international trips, the domestic feeder flight costs BenefitPoints.
• If you transfer across national borders (e.g. Frankfurt - Vienna - New York) the relevant number of BenefitPoints for each pair of countries applies.

Taxes and charges:

• In the case of BenefitFreeFlights the usual airport taxes and charges apply.
• We will inform you in your email booking confirmation about the amount of taxes and charges.
• On intercontinental flights operated by Lufthansa with a Lufthansa flight number, by Austrian Airlines with an Austrian Airlines flight number and by SWISS with an SWISS flight number you can also pay for these taxes and charges using BenefitPoints. The points value is determined by your PartnerPlusBenefit Service Center based on flight route and a fixed points value (rounded up to the nearest 10 points). On domestic flights inland Germany, Austria or Switzerland taxes cannot be paid with BenefitPoints.

Rebookings and cancellations:

• You can rebook BenefitFreeFlights once free of charge up to one working day (24 hours from Monday to Friday) before departure. For BenefitFreeFlights on Eurowings, a one-time rebooking up to 3 working days (72 hours from Monday to Friday) before departure is possible free of charge.
• If the routing / operating airline of a BenefitFreeFlight is to be changed this requires a cancellation of the original flight.
• For every further rebooking 50 EUR/50 CHF or optionally 15,000 BenefitPoints will be charged.
• Cancellation is also possible for a fee of 50 EUR/50 CHF or optionally 15,000 BenefitPoints up to one working day (24 hours from Monday to Friday) before departure.
• Taxes and charges for the unused FreeFlights will be refunded in full.

Further details on the award:

• BenefitFreeFlights can be booked on direct flights and transfer connections (transferring over national borders and within a continent), depending on availability.
• In the case of domestic flights in Japan no freeflights can be booked.
